Diploma in Welding and Fabrication

Course Description

The Diploma in Welding and Fabrication is a hands-on program designed to equip students with the technical skills and knowledge needed to excel in metalworking industries. This program prepares learners for careers in the construction, manufacturing, and engineering sectors, focusing on the design, assembly, and repair of metal structures and components.

The curriculum covers essential topics such as welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and arc welding), metal cutting and shaping, blueprint reading, fabrication methods, metallurgy, and quality control. Students will also learn safety protocols, modern welding technologies, and industry standards for structural and industrial projects.

With a strong emphasis on practical learning, students will work in workshops to gain experience in joining, shaping, and repairing metal parts. Additionally, the program encourages innovation and precision, preparing graduates to meet the demands of diverse fabrication and welding tasks in real-world settings.

Requirements

Diploma: A mean grade of C- (minus) or higher in KCSE,
Certificate: A mean grade of D+ (plus) or higher in KCSE
