The Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology is a seven-semester program that prepares students for careers in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. This course equips learners with the skills to work in drug formulation, quality control, production, and distribution, focusing on ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products.
The curriculum covers a wide range of topics, including pharmaceutical chemistry, drug formulation, pharmacology, pharmaceutical microbiology, and quality assurance. Students gain practical knowledge in the preparation and manufacturing of medicines, as well as in regulatory practices that govern the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the program emphasizes the application of advanced laboratory techniques to ensure the safety and effectiveness of pharmaceutical products.
As part of their training, students complete a three-month industrial attachment, providing them with real-world experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities or quality control labs. The department also supports professional development through its Pharmaceutical Technology Club, offering mentorship, networking, and opportunities for hands-on learning.
