Diploma in Industrial Chemistry

Course Description

The Diploma in Industrial Chemistry is a seven-semester program designed to equip students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to work in the chemical and manufacturing industries. This program prepares learners to apply chemical principles and technologies in the production, quality control, and analysis of industrial products while ensuring adherence to environmental and safety standards.

The curriculum includes key topics such as industrial chemical processes, organic and inorganic chemistry, analytical techniques, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering principles, environmental chemistry, and quality management systems. Students gain hands-on experience in laboratories and through the use of industry-standard equipment to perform chemical analysis and production optimization.

A three-month industrial attachment provides practical exposure to real-world industrial environments, allowing learners to apply their skills in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, food processing, and manufacturing. The department supports innovation and professional development through its Industrial Chemistry Club, offering mentorship, networking opportunities, and collaborative industry projects.
