The Diploma in Applied Biology is a program designed to provide students with practical skills and foundational knowledge in biological sciences. The program emphasizes the application of biological concepts and techniques to solve real-world challenges in healthcare, agriculture, environmental conservation, and biotechnology.
Students will gain hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, research methods, and industry practices. The curriculum covers key areas such as microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, plant and animal biology, and environmental biology. A mandatory three-month industrial attachment provides students with an opportunity to apply their skills in a professional setting and gain exposure to real-world applications.
To encourage innovation and collaboration, the department hosts a Biology Club, where students can participate in mentorship programs, field studies, and industry-driven projects.
