The Diploma in Agricultural Extension is a seven-semester program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to promote agricultural development and sustainability. This program prepares learners to work with farmers and rural communities, providing education, support, and practical solutions to improve agricultural practices and productivity.
The curriculum includes topics such as crop and livestock production, soil management, agricultural economics, pest and disease control, sustainable farming techniques, rural development, and communication skills for extension work. Students learn to assess community needs, deliver training programs, and facilitate the adoption of modern agricultural technologies.
A three-month industrial attachment provides hands-on experience in agricultural organizations, cooperatives, or government projects, allowing students to apply their skills in real-world agricultural settings. The program also encourages participation in the Agricultural Extension Club, where students can engage in mentorship, community outreach, and innovative agricultural initiatives.
